Since 2019, the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has allowed policyholders to choose their preferred TPA at the time of policy purchase or renewal, ensuring greater transparency and faster claim processing.

Since 2019, IRDAI regulations have allowed policyholders to choose their preferred TPA from a list provided by the insurance company. While selection is optional, having a TPA assigned to your policy facilitates smoother claim processing.
Under the βCashless Everywhereβ initiative, you may still be eligible for cashless treatment even at non-network hospitals. Additionally, you can always opt for reimbursement claims by paying upfront and submitting bills to your TPA after treatment.
For planned hospitalizations, TPA approval typically takes 24-48 hours after the pre-authorization form is submitted. For emergency cases, TPAs prioritize requests and may approve within a few hours.
You need to present your health insurance card/e-card, valid government ID proof, policy number, and a filled pre-authorization form at the hospitalβs insurance desk. Additional medical documents may be requested depending on the treatment.
There is no limit on the number of claims, but the total claim amount cannot exceed your sum insured as per your policy. Some policies offer cumulative bonuses that increase your sum insured for claim-free years.
Reimbursement claims typically take 15-30 days from the date of submission of complete documents. The TPA verifies all documents and forwards the claim to the insurance company for final approval and payment
Disclaimer: The TPA list is subject to changes from time to time. Primax Hospital and insurers reserve to modify, add, or remove TPAs or network tie-ups without prior notice. You can check with us or call your TPAβs customer care before availing the cashless service.
